About
Iconic local flavors with vibe on speed dial.
855-ALOHA is a buzzy neighborhood spot calling back to the old school, where local food meets a unique-to-Hawai‘i mashup of Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and European influences — a reflection of the islands’ rich cultural melting pot. Throwback dishes made famous by nostalgic eateries sit alongside funky cocktails and analog-style conversation, creating a dining experience that’s both retro and refreshingly alive.
In the heart of Waikīkī, 855-ALOHA is an eatery where energetic Japanese hospitality meets the eclectic and diversified cultures of Hawaii. Rooted in a sense of nostalgia from a time when things moved a little slower, 855-ALOHA welcomes visitors and locals alike to gather, stay a little longer, and bond over a meal and drinks in a dynamic social environment.
Named for Hawaii’s once-ubiquitous payphone number, 855-ALOHA is an adoration of Hawaiian history and a homage to the humble payphone — where a handful of change could connect people across the ocean. We invite our guests to come in, ditch the smartphone for a bit, and make some analog connections of their own. The menu highlights the precision and techniques found in Japanese cuisine, the playful interpretations of Hawaii's culinary melting pot, using locally ingredients of Hawaii and within Waikīkī's ultimate clubhouse setting at Romer House.
